Just before Christmas 2010, Nimkii, the best spiritual companion ever at Loyola House, was laid to rest.  After a lengthy communal discernment, the Jesuit Community at the Red House acquired a new dog in mid-October.  She is a beautiful, one-year old, brown and white fox-hound cross.  Having been rejected by another family, and housed in a kennel at the Kitchener Humane Society, she is in need of some re-education.  The first thing she did on arriving was to bless our house by pooping on the

As I hung out with my friend Krishna in Joliette, Quebec, he commented that spending time with me made him feel like he was back in Nepal again. I, too, kind of felt the same, as I visited with Krishna and other resettled Bhutanese refugees this summer.

"Its of the Spirit and Ecclesial." With these words, the Superior General of the Society of Jesus, Fr. Adolfo Nicolás, SJ, characterized the gathering of some 200 Jesuits and their friends in Midland, Ontario.
