Brother James (Jim) Deshaye died on July 13, 2018 at Scarborough General Hospital. He was in his 76th year and in religious life for 55 years. He was involved in physical work as a handyman of many trades. His silence spoke of his solid day to day spiritual journey.
Father Alex Kirsten, died on January 17, 2018 at Mt. Sinai Hospital in Toronto, ON.He was in his 70th year and in religious life for 47 years.Fr. Kirsten served multiple ministries including the Martyrs’ Shrine in Midland, ON and the René Goupil House in Pickering, ON.
Father Frederick Power died peacefully on November 2, 2017 at René Goupil House, in Pickering, ON. He was in his 94th year and in religious life for 75 years. Fr. "Fred" spent 56 years promoting devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
