50 Years in the Society of Jesus

Michael J. Parent, S.J.
Although born in Windsor, he entered the Society of Jesus from Loyola High School in Montreal. After his two years novitiate and one year of classical studies, he was assigned to the Darjeeling mission in India, where he completed his Jesuit training and where he has spent time as a teacher, Associate Pastor and Assistant Director of SASAC (St. Alphonsus Social and Agricultural Centre). He is presently doing language study in Tibetan.

G. William Robins, S.J.
Born and raised in Winnipeg, he entered the Jesuits right after High School. Fr. Robins completed his Jesuit training in Canada and the USA. After ordination in 1971, he was assigned to the Darjeeling Missions in India, where he worked for twenty years. After a sabbatical year, in 1992, he began work in Nepal where he is still working today and where he has been Rector of the Jesuit Community, Director of the Social Service Centre, local Superior and Principal. He was also the Regional Jesuit Superior of the Nepal Mission for ten years.

J. Winston Rye, S.J.
Born in Winnipeg, he entered after two years at St. Paul's College. Fr. Rye mainly work in High School education as a teacher at Regiopolis College, Kingston, Ontario; Rector/Principal at Brebeuf College School in Toronto; President of Loyola High School in Montreal; Principal of Gonzaga High School and President of St. Bonaventure's College in St. John's, Newfoundland. He was also Director of Martyrs Shrine from 73-78. Presently he is Treasurer for the Province, National Director of Jesuit Seminary Association and Jesuit Development Office; and, Superior of a formation community for first studies or philosophy, Cardoner Jesuits, in Toronto.

Joseph J. Schuck, S.J.
Born in Regina, he has spent most of his active ministry as a teacher in High Schools: Loyola in Montreal; Gonzaga in St. John's, NL; St. Paul's in Winnipeg; and now in St. Bonaventure's College in St. John's. He has also been Assistant to the Principal. In St. John's, Newfoundland, he has been Superior and Associate Pastor. For seven years, he was the Director of St. Rene Goupil Community and La Storta Jesuit Community, both in Pickering, Ontario.

Roger A. Yaworski, S.J.
Entering the Society of Jesus from Regina, he was born in Canora, Saskatchewan. Fr. Yaworski has held a number of positions in the Jesuit Province: Director of Novices, Director of Pastoral Education, Director of Formation, Consultor, Socius to the Provincial, National Director of Jesuit Seminary Association and Jesuit Development Office. He has also been student chaplain at Campion College in Regina and Superior of a Jesuit Community in Toronto. Presently, he is in Guelph, Ontario, at Holy Rosary Parish and Programme Director at Ignatius College.
