Jesuits honour St. Joseph's Sisters
Fr. James Webb, Provincial Superior of the Jesuits in English Canada presented Sr. Margaret Myatt, General Superior of the Sisters of St. Joseph, with the Magis award at the third annual Jesuit Provincial's Dinner April 22, 2009.
“When the Jesuits established Regis College in Willowdale in 1961 and again during this past year with the move of Regis College to the Wellesley St. location, the Sisters previously owned, they showed us how generous their friendship was.” - Fr. The Magis award is given to individuals and organizations that do more in the service of God's people.
The Jesuit Provincial's Dinner also honoured the Jesuit golden Jubilarians: Br. Paul Baker, Fr. Bernie Carroll, Fr. Jack Costello, Fr. Michael Coutts, Fr. David Eley, Fr. Gerard Fokke, Fr. Larry Kroker, Fr. John Legge, Br. Michael Martin, Fr. Dave Norris, Fr. Mike O’Donnell, Fr. Charlie Pottie, and Fr. Chris Rupert.
