Jesuit Communication Project celebrates 25 years
The Jesuit Communication Project (JCP) celebrated its 25th birthday with a reception at Regis College on the evening of October 27.
Attendees included about 70 guests from a variety of interest groups with whom the JCP has collaborated over the years - from Bravo!, CTV, Warner Bros., media literacy associations, media professional groups, teachers and students from various courses John Pungente, S.J., Director of the JCP has taught. Other guests included Jesuits, including the Provincial, Curia and Regis College staff.
Michael Enright, well-known broadcaster and host of CBC Radio’s national program, The Sunday Edition, emceed the evening program. Enright spoke of the importance of the JCP’s work. Other speakers included, Paul Sullivan, President of Sullivan Media, and chair of the JCP Board spoke as did Bill Addley, S.J. These brief speeches were followed by a six minute video highlighting some of the JCP’s work over the past 25 years. CCI Entertainment produced the video as a gift for the anniversary.
Throughout the evening a looped DVD containing some 700 photos of the JCP’s 25 years ran in Regis’ Great Hall.
