Six Candidates on the Jesuit Discernment Retreat
From December 20 - 23, six men participated in the annual Jesuit Vocation Discernment Retreat at the Manresa Jesuit Spiritual Renewal Centre in Pickering, ON. These men, ranging in age from 19 - 34, came from all parts of Canada to spend the time exploring the possibility of a vocation to the Society of Jesus under the guidance of a team of Jesuits. The Jesuit team was comprised of men at various stages in formation, including a brother in formation, as well as Fr. Jacques Monet, S.J., the chair of the Toronto area vocation team, and Fr. Len Altilia, S.J., the Assistant for Vocations. The retreat consisted mostly of silence and prayer, with personal spiritual direction, but also included input about Ignatian prayer, discernment, Jesuit life, priesthood.
If you are interested in participating in such a retreat next year, contact Fr. Altilia.

The retreatants and directors gather for Night Prayer in the Chapel of Manresa.
