Vocation Events
Six Weeks a Jesuit
July 9 to August 23, 2009
This program is designed to give someone discerning a Jesuit vocation a live-in experience of a Jesuit community and a hands-on experience of Jesuit ministry. The program will take place at Martyrs' Shrine, Midland, ON and will involve primarily interaction with pilgrim groups, student groups, and others who come to the Shrine.
The six weeks will begin with three days of orientation to the Shrine and its mission, and will further include input from Jesuits about Jesuit life, the history of the martyrs, prayer, and discernment. There will also be personal spiritual direction, group reflection, and some opportunities for leisure and tourism.

An Evening with a Jesuit Community
For those who live in the Toronto area, during the academic year, the various Jesuit communities in the city host an evening of Mass, dinner and prayer for those who are considering a Jesuit vocation. It is an excellent opportunity to meet Jesuits, to see first-hand what a Jesuit community looks like and to share prayer and conversation both with Jesuits and with others who are asking similar questions to your own.
To receive an invitation to these evenings, please contact Fr. Len Altilia, S.J., Assistant for Vocations
